Style Critiques!

In this post I am going go be critquing some of my favorite outfits on celebrities! I hope you all enjoy!

Leighton Meester is wearing a very fun and chic outfit. It has a very fun mix of patterns that show a very confident and fun style. It is so fun to make bold statements with your outfits. By mixing patterns that share the same basic color (like the blue in Leighton's outfit) can be a very chic, sophisticated way to add some pazzass to any style! Don't be intimidated by trying fun new ideas like this, start with calmer patterns until you get comfortable with a more bold look! Don't be afraid to try new fun ideas!!

Miley Cyrus rocks the rocker/grudge look while still being flirty and girly. I am absolutely in love with the fedora with the feathers and she keeps the whole "Native American" theme going with adorable black moccasin style boots. The boots and hat definitely  make this outfit!

Jessica Simpson is one of my favorite designers. I think he knack for style is uncanny. Some hate on Jessica because of weight issues and the "dumb blonde" persona but I think the girl can dress! In the picture above she is wearing a gorgeous sheer, floral blouse that I am absolutely in love with. You can wear in all the way buttoned, half way, or even as a cover up. Also, I love her red bag as well. I think her pulling the red from her shirt to her accessories was a great touch!

I randomly found this outfit by surfing the internet and there is just something about it that attracted my eye. I am not so in love with the overall look but the white lace cover is an amazing piece and by paring it with the headband pulls the whole outfit together.

Wearing statement pieces, like the one shown above on Ashley Olsen, can be a great way to spark up any outfit. The head wrap is such a fashion forward statement. I think it looks better with more simpler outfits like; jeans and a t-shirt. I have yet to buy a head wrap for my own but it is on my to get list. I think it is a great, easy way to show off your style...and you can literally throw it on when you get out of bed and still look chic!

Nicole Richie really nailed this boho look. The tucked in sheer shirt with the tights and hat is so adorable. I love this outfit as a whole. I think the floppy hat is so cute, and it is becoming very popular amongst celebs. It is another fun way to add a little bit more to any look!

Lindsay Lohan is wearing a simple outfit but the boots are what make it special. I am so in love with these shoes that I am going to go buy them after I write this blog. :]

I am so excited to see more traffic on the blog! Please, leave comments and ask me anything!

I have now told you about myself and now I am going to show you. These are only a select few of some of the treasures I have found over the last couple of months thrift HUNTING. Take a peak and tell me what you think!

This dress is a Navy Blue Free People dress. It has the adorable scrunched shoulders and it is mid-thigh length. I purchased this for $10 at my local thrift store.

This little jacket was purchased at the Goodwill for $4. The brand is Ashley. It is a beautiful grey color and it puts a nice touch to any outfit! This is a piece that can be dressed up or dressed down.

This Navy blue "Grandma like Sweater" is Jessica Simpson (one of my favorite designers) It is perfect for a comfy kind of day. I bought this for $7 at my local thrift store.

This sheer floral tank is American Rag. I bought this for $5 at my local thrift store. It is long enough to be able to wear with leggings or jeans. I love this shirt with a bando bra underneath.

This blazer is one of my best finds! It is navy blue with gold buttons and on the inside it is green and blue striped. This blazer is designed by Tommy Hilfiger and I bought this for ONLY $9. I felt like I was robbing the store walking out with such a great piece!

This top is for a more casual look. I bought it for only $4. It is a 3X so it fits me like a dress, I pair it with a light brown small braided belt and my Steve Madden cowboy boots. It is Forever 21.

This awesome Old Navy blazer is so perfect to dress up any outfit. I bought this for $12 at my local thrift store. I love pairing this with jeans and a tshirt just to add a little bit of a spark.

This is a Forever 21 shirt that I bought for $2 at my local thrift store. It is a cream color and sheer. It is a very beautiful piece that I get complimented on often. It is easy to pair it with skinny jeans or even leggings.

I am in love with this skirt/tutu. It is an off brand but it is to die for. I love pairing it with boots and a fun pair of tights. I bought this for $4.

This is an H&M white and black polka dot ruffle shirt that I LOVE! I bought this for $5 and it is perfect to add a little sophistication to any outfit!

I actually bought this adorable number at my local Ross on clearance for only $3! :O I know it is shocking. The dress is so beautiful with the beading and detail work on the top. It is navy blue (sorry for the quality of photo!)

It all starts here...

I have always had a knack for fashion and I have always been told by friends and family how much they would love to be able to go shopping with me and learn my tricks...so that is how I came up with this idea! Basically what this blog is going to entail is my life journey through my own fashion world. From coming shopping with me to actually buying clothes I find that you love, this blog is a one stop shop to the fashion world...and for cheap!

I grew up in a very small town close to Tahoe, California. I was raised in a middle class home where money was tight, and that is where my journey began. Through high school I would idolize those girls...c'mon you know who I am talking about the ones who ONLY wore designer and wouldn't even step foot into a thrift store let alone a Ross. And that is where I was stuck with trying to fit in and only having the means to shop at the "FORBIDDEN" places. That is when I started having to get creative and more welcoming to not so eye catching merchandise and make it chic.

It was rough starting out because I just wanted to be like the other girls and not have to make do with what I had, but then I realized that I was lucky. I was and am lucky because I was introduced to the vintage world of fashion, thrift HUNTING (not just shopping) and I had to open that more creative side of my mind. Once I was over the first initial hump, I was becoming a professional stylist for myself and I didn't even know it. I was constantly getting complements by women and men of every age on my fashion. (Don't get me wrong somedays I am just a jeans and a t-shirt kinda girl but this new found hobby became my obsession...and that is how I became good at it.

Today I find myself going into thrift stores and vintage shops for hours and walking away with the best steals that any fashion loving girl would die for. I am going to invite you into my world and let you critique me and my style as well as the merchandise I offer on here. I also am more than willing to take requests on what some of you may be in search of and can't find. If it is out there I can find it, I can style it, and I can make it yours!

This blog is just an opener, if you will, or a more detailed introduction. There will be many more to come!
